Vancouver Convention Centre welcomes new Financial Controller

November 5th, 2015 / News

The Vancouver Convention Centre is pleased to welcome Vineet Saluja, into the role of Financial Controller, after an extensive recruitment search.

Selected from among candidates across North America, Saluja brings over 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, hospitality and hotel operations. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Guelph.

Saluja’s career in hotel operations began at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi, India. His experience has also spanned the United States and Canada, having previously worked at the JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa and the Renaissance Vancouver Harbourside Hotel. Most recently, Saluja served as Senior Assistant Director of Finance and Accounting at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas.

“We are pleased to have recruited a talented, results-driven professional like Vineet to our team,” said Craig Lehto, General Manager, Vancouver Convention Centre. “With his international background and depth of experience, he will be a great addition to this organization.”

Saluja remembers visiting the Vancouver Convention Centre in April 2013 for the Times of India Awards. He admired the high level of professionalism, engagement and service shown by employees at all levels. “Returning to Vancouver to work in a world-class venue like the Convention Centre is like a dream come true,” said Saluja. “I’m thrilled to work for an organization where five-star customer service is the norm. I love being back in Vancouver and finally able to call this city home — again.”
