The Vancouver Convention Centre is pleased to welcome Dan Lee, new Director of Facilities Management, responsible for overseeing engineering and building operations.
Lee brings over 15 years of experience in construction, technology integration, project management and facilities planning and operations.
“Our goal was to recruit a results-driven individual to lead our LEED®-Platinum certified venue into the future,” said Craig Lehto, Assistant General Manager, Vancouver Convention Centre. “We are thrilled to have someone of Dan’s caliber to join our team after an extensive recruitment process.”
Most recently, Lee served as Director, Facilities Management and Planning at Vancouver Community College where he developed a new Facilities Management customer servic

“To be a part of this organization and this truly unconventional, world-class venue is a facilities manager’s dream job,” said Lee. “I’m excited to work with such a service-oriented team to propel our organization to the next level. Our goal is to be a world leader in technology integration, sustainability and our industry.”
A 4th class power engineer, Lee is also a certified project management professional through Project Management Institute. He also holds facility management certifications through the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA).
Lee remembers coming to the Vancouver Convention Centre during the 2010 Olympics with his family and his impressions of the building and the energy surrounding it. “To this day, my family still talks about that experience. To be a part of this iconic world-class landmark is just amazing.”
