Vancouver Convention Centre prepares to welcome the world media for the Olympics

Vancouver, BC (January 6, 2010) – The Vancouver Convention Centre is preparing to welcome the world media to Vancouver for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. During this time, there is no public access to the Centre.

The facility’s two buildings are currently being converted into the International Broadcast Centre and Main Press Centre for nearly 10,000 journalists and media support staff.

The East building will re-open on March 19 and the West Building on April 13. For information about the events taking place at the Convention Centre after the Olympics, please visit the events section.
