Open House On Canada Day

VANCOUVER, BC: The Vancouver Convention Centre is hosting an Open House of its West building on Sunday, July 1st. Join us from 10 am to 6 pm to get a closer look at the world’s first LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Platinum certified convention centre, participate in a free scavenger hunt contest and celebrate Canada’s 145th birthday.
Highlights include:
“What’s All The BUZZ About” scavenger hunt contest
BEE curious and learn about the convention centre’s unique stories and features like the resident beehives. Join our family of busy bees and collect information from the East and West buildings for a chance to win fabulous prize packages that include wildflower honey harvested from our beehives.
Cauldron lighting
From 12 noon to 7 pm, the Cauldron will be lit to mark Canada’s birthday. Come re-live Canada’s glory in the 2010 Winter Games.
Apart from the Open House, the Vancouver Convention Centre is a Platinum Partner of Canada Day at Canada Place, where an exciting line-up of events is scheduled in our East building and the Jack Poole Plaza.
