Canada Together 2026

July 1 ({{data.buildings}})

The countdown is on for Canada Together 2026!

2026 will mark the 40th anniversary of the annual event at Canada Place, which has historically been the largest July 1st celebration outside of Ottawa. It is also the fifth year since the event debuted as Canada Together. Canada Together is planned collaboratively with representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. From programming to the name and theme itself, the details of the day are carefully considered to create a welcoming experience for all people who live in this country.

The theme of the event, “Weaving together the fabric of a nation,” was chosen to honour Canada’s diversity and to set an intention for the day to gather, celebrate, learn, and share. Weaving was a common activity across many cultures and served as a metaphor for the way that beauty, strength, and wisdom from the past could combine through multiple perspectives to create something meaningful for today and tomorrow.

This all-day free, family-friendly event will feature live music on multiple stages, a citizenship ceremony welcoming new Canadians, the CN Family Zone, an Expo 86 exhibit, an Indigenous Marketplace, and more as well as performers, exhibitors and food trucks - watch this space in the coming weeks for more details!
