Elevating Experiences and Benefiting Community Through Social Procurement

For this winter season, rather than displaying our usual holiday décor, we wanted the facility to better reflect what matters most to us: where we are, the community we are apart of and our commitment to sustainability. Through social procurement we were able to partner with a local social enterprise and artists to repurpose our existing decorations into new ornaments and recycled trees – a perfect fit, and an opportunity to add unique value to the holiday experience at our facility.

Convention Quest winner Kate takes on Vancouver

The Quest is complete! After 1,100 entries from British Columbians representing over 80 communities across the province, Convention Quest came to a close on Saturday, September 7th with our winner from Smithers, BC accepting her ‘VIP Vancouver Experience’ Grand Prize.

Celebrating Community and Lunar New Year at Jack Poole Plaza

Set against a backdrop of North Shore mountains, the bold and beautiful Coastal Lunar Lanterns at Jack Poole Plaza cannot be missed. The larger-than-life lanterns are part of a new art installation to celebrate the Lunar New Year and will be available to view in the plaza next to the Vancouver Convention Centre from January 30 to February 18, 2019.
