Executive Chef Blair Rasmussen
Born and raised in Vancouver, Blair is a leading figure in the development of Canada’s new West Coast Cuisine – a unique combination of fresh local ingredients, Asian influences and innovative food pairings. His team proudly operates a “scratch” kitchen using only the finest and freshest ingredients – from fresh-caught seafood to produce from nearby farms and fresh pastries.
Since joining the Vancouver Convention Centre in 1991, Blair has served countless meals to guests all over the world including Henry Kissinger, former US President Bill Clinton, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Phillip, Prince Charles, the late Princess Diana, former Prime Minister of Canada Jean Chrétien, the Sultan of Brunei, and the Three Tenors. Prior to the Vancouver Convention Centre, he held senior positions at the Hyatt Regency, Meridian Hotel and the Canadian Club at Expo ’86.
